This is a solid, high-quality pedalboard with an intelligent design. The attachment system is revolutionary, eliminating the need for messy velcro.
Pedals are easy to attach, and can be removed/moved quite quickly. I like to change the pedals on my board often, so it is perfect for me - putting a different mix of pedals on for a specific concert or jam session - also depending on which guitar I am using and type of music being played.
An additional benefit is that the pedals sit very solidly on the board, with no wobble or movement when you tap the switch on a pedal. (With traditional velrco boards, there is a cushioning effect between the pedal and board, so the pedals usually move slightly when you tap them). This makes a big difference, for example, in getting accurate timing on a looper pedal.
The S1 model fits 5 standard Boss-sized pedals, using 4 fasteners per pedal, lined up in the same grooves. It will also fit 6 Boss-sized pedals, by using 3 fasteners per pedal, and staggering the grooves so the pedals sit closer together. The pedals stay tightly installed, with either 4 or 3 fastners.
The quality of fabrication is very high. It is manufactured in Spain, and therefore is compliant with EU environmental and labour standards.
It really looks and feels like a high-end product and I expect it will last several decades, or a lifetime, even with heavy use.
The S1 can easily be expanded into the S2 model, later, by buying an extra row element. This modularity gives you room to grow as acquire more pedals. This modularity is also better for the environment.
The case is also very high quality construction, with protective padding.
It is very good value for the money. And you won't need to keep buying velcro every couple years. And you won't destroy the re-sale value of your pedals by covering them with velcro.
Highly recommended !
