The ART Headamp 6 Pro is a stereo six! channel studio headphone amplifier. It is a great headphone amplifier for project studio's and larger home studio's. I bought this amplifier as replacement for my old and quite noisy MAM HP48 4 amp and 8 output headphone amplifier.
The ART Headamp 6 Pro is the most affordable headphone amplifier of the better brands. It's the choice of either a B-mark amplifier or an A-amplifier that is much more expensive. And this one is in between.
What is so nice about this headphone amplifier, is that it has 6 seperate amplifier units, all with many controls like R-mono and L-mono switches, but also treble, bass, balance and volume. This means, that you can let it sound almost exactly as your monitor speakers. For my headphone mix in the project studio, I can get almost the same sounds as on my Yamaha HS80M's or my Avantone Mixcubes, which I both use in my studio for monitoring.
What's less about it: I can tell you in short. When the volume knob of either the input channel, or the output reaches level 5, it adds a little noise to the signal. But not significant. Further it's built very solid but quite wide. So it didn't fit in my studio rack without making changes to the rack. But that is because my rack isn't wide enough. For all my other 19" equipment it was, but not for this one.
When you want to buy a solid headphone amp of an A brand, but you dont want to spend many hundreds of €, then buy this unit!
