I purchased this microphone along with the Rode Procaster from thomann. In comparison, the RE320 sounds way clearer than the Procaster, which has a more muffled tone to it. It also needs only about ~52 db of gain, as opposed to the 56 db of the Procaster, which means that the white noise or self noise is lower with the RE320 (not by much, but you notice the difference in direct comparison).
Sadly though, I have a big issue with this microphone and therefore cannot recommend it to anyone. The microphone picks up EMI noise like crazy. My PC is on the floor and the microphone is mounted via the Rode PSA1 on my desk. There is about 1.1m distance between the PC and microphone. When my PC is in idle, it only picks up the EMI when I move the microphone a little bit towards the PC (around 80 cm distance). But when my PC is under load, the microphone picks up the EMI at the 1.1m distance. Constant buzzing in the audio, it's really bad. This is unacceptable for a ~300 € microphone. The Rode Procaster in comparison doesn't pick up any interference, even at ~30 cm distance to my PC.
If your room is properly treated, then I can recommend this microphone. But be mindful of the bad shielding on this thing.
