This is my first Telecaster Deluxe. I usually play single-coil guitars and have owned several Telecasters and a Stratocaster. Once, I had a Japanese Jaguar (the HH model), which I really liked, but I still tend to prefer single-coil guitars.
That said, I wanted something with humbuckers back in my collection. I hesitated for a long time, even considered getting a Les Paul... But then I saw this guitar, and the Fender fan in me said, "Forget the Les Paul," haha.
Long story short, this guitar is absolutely amazing. Honestly, it turned out even better than I expected.
1. Feel — The guitar isn’t covered in that typical heavy gloss finish, which, to be honest, I don’t really like. I have a mahogany acoustic guitar, and I enjoy its matte feel. Here, it’s EVEN better. The open pore satin finish is fantastic. It makes you want to hold the guitar. That feeling is priceless.
2. Pickups — These are my first CuNiFe pickups, and I had no idea what to expect from them. It doesn’t make much sense to describe the sound in detail, but I can say they impressed me both on clean tones and overdrive.
Of course, they’re not single-coils. That said, their clean character suits me well, and I can easily find the tone I need. The sound on distortion and crunch is also excellent — clear yet rich and full. I feel these are very versatile pickups. If I had to keep only one guitar from my collection… it would probably be this one.

Mahogany, a beautiful satin finish, the big Fender headstock, made in Japan — what more could you ask for? :)
I highly recommend this guitar — if not for purchase, at least to try it out in a store. It’s worth it!
