Using BFD3 for over 2 years now.
The Sound of BFD is superior when it comes to "real" sounding cymbals, HiHats, etc. In my humble opinion they sound way more real than the overprocessed stuff from Superior Drums or Addictive Drums.
But here is the thing which makes the software totally useless for me:
Last night it happend the third time, that the software Licence reached the 90day limit.
Which means you have to re-authorize BFD and all extensions:
But that doesn't work most of the time.
So the Company provides a looog help text with workarounds how to fix this issue. Takes lots of time, and doesn't work all the time. At least for me. I am a senior software developer with 30+ years of experience - I am pretty sure I know what I am doing.
Now the worst thing:
After BFD lost it#s licence, ALL SETTINGS are lost which are not saved as preset. So if you have worked for days and hours on the right drums, snares, cymbals, and Room Mix, and the Licence suddenly stops working, you can start all over again.
The BFD Soft Licencer shgould have never been rolled out to the public.
It's an early Alpha Version at most.
Run away as fast as you can.
