Wanted a pipe to put 4 mini heads with 35mm clamps, for quick and easy assembly. Had the looks and on paper seemed more than capable to hold everything i wanted and more. Used with gravity 35mm poles. Here are the two quite annoying issues i had :
1. Although it says suitable for 35mm poles, there is always some space left even with the joint fully tight, so you absolutely need to put some tape or something around the 35mm pole, for the crossbar to embrace securely on the pole and not freely twist around it.
2. The crossbar when tight, always has a slope and never sits evenly leveled. Its not horrible but quite obvious to the eye. I think this happens due to the joint construction and i haven't found a proper workaround yet. Anyhow, its a design issue and the plastic joint mold on the inside, is still left as a cylinder,so not really having even flat surfaces contact each other with the pole cap. The more you tighten the joint, the more the slope becomes.
Quite disappointing by design actually, expected way better from Adam Hall, as Gravity really seems like the have very well thought products. Will talk to Thomman about this for sure.
