I myself am an opera singer. Took a microphone for singing and dictating text for a video blog. I compared it with the Elgato Wawe 3 microphone. I had them at home at the same time and I was able to compare them in great detail. Overall, the Rode NT USB has a nicer sound, a real, non-electronic, really natural voice. But all its advantages end there. It is difficult to adjust in terms of membrane sensitivity. When you sing loudly, it makes mistakes. A USB-B cable is very inconvenient when USB type-C is already used everywhere. I connected the Elgato Wawe 3 to the iPad PRO in general only with one USB type-C cable —— USB type-C and everything worked very well. With Rode, everything is much more complicated, and to connect it to the iPad, you need to buy additional cables or adapters. The Rode is a heavy microphone, with no ability to adjust the sensitivity of the microphone, very inconvenient to transport, and which does not work well with loud voices. Elgato is also not a great option, but I could sing with it and then not worry that in the recording I would hear a lot of glitches in the overload of the sound of the microphone membrane. Elgato is lighter, has more settings, has a much more advanced sound card in the middle, is compact and more convenient to transport. The sound from it is more computer-like, not real, but the sound is clear. In the end, I decided to return both microphones and buy a Tula mic. Yes, this microphone is more expensive, but it is much better. So my conclusion is that if you only need to speak into the microphone, the Elgato Wawe 3 is much better for that than the Rode NT USB. Rode USB mini, by the way, sounds worse than Rode NT USB, but it is not buggy with sound overload! Rode NT USB is suitable for recording voices or musical instruments that are not too loud. I tried to sing even at a distance of 1 meter from the microphone with a sensitivity of -12db and the Rode NT USB was always buggy and the recording had interruptions and sound overload. There were no such problems with the Elgato, but this microphone is more for bloggers and announcers than for vocalists. Ago…. it's time for Rode to update the outdated version of Rode NT USB, because competitors are awake. Time is running out. Therefore, I will continue to try the Tula mic, as the compactness and mobility of the microphone is very important to me, because I often record videos and vocals through IPad Pro and IPhone. So, who needs a USB microphone, then Elgato Wawe 3 is the best value for money. But for singers with strong voices, I would not advise valleys from these microphones. You need either XLR microphones or a Tula mic (although it is almost twice as expensive). I wish everyone success.
