Coming from a budget home studio, so take the review with a grain of salt.
This is my first serious microphone, my previous owned on was a Rode NT1. I had used a U87, C414 and my own NT1 for recording both male and female vocals. When I look upon Thomann, I was looking for competitor microphones about the same budget of U87 before I pull the brainless trigger of U87. And this comes up, after listening to some Demo, I bought it.
Now that I have been actively using this mic for recording. I can say that I have no regrets and super satisfied. If you looking a really clean mic with transparency, you might be better off with a U87. This mic gives up some high end boost that is smooth and curtains lifting. The density/sensitivity of the mic is really good and it really captures good female voice. It has a slight warmth low mid if you are a fan of that.
It bears the price tag proudly and I would definitely say it is worth a shot if you do not want to go for a traditional, professional way of U87
