The general colour of the sound is nice and warmer than most of small glockenspiels out there. It is nicely built but next to the metal plates and a wooden box you get plastic sticks that despite looking and feeling very cheap are creating a fine sound.
However, this glockenspiel is not quite balanced. The plates are not ringing equally clear and long, especially in the second octave. I have another much cheaper glockenspiel in the studio that rings twice longer than this one. Unfortunately, for this price I expected much more.
Also, beware, this one is tuned sharper. It has a chamber pitch around 442, 443 Hz that is not written in the description.
