Tascam Series 208i

The build quality and feature set are great for the price. The DSP effects basic, but get the job done, and sound good enough for most applications. And if you don`t switch between multiple software programs it works well.
Sadly, my workflow requires to switch between Ableton, OBS, MS Teams and Zoom calls all the time. And this is where the unit didn`t perform. First of it didn`t work with Teams, it showed up in the input and output selection, but in calls and meetings even when selected properly showed message no mic signal (I tried all sort of routing and setup options).
Also had driver issues on both windows 10 and 11 when switching back and forth from Ableton to OBS studio. It was as if the unit got stuck and bound to the software where I opened it up first. After restarting it worked again. But that is just very inconvenient. As long as You don`t need to use it multiple apps it is great. With multiple apps ☹

Benutze das Tascam 208i hauptsächlich für Gitarren, Bass und Sprach- sowie Gesangsaufnahmen.

Die Qualität ist für mich absolut zufriedenstellend und das auch nach einem Vergleich mit dem teureren Clarett 4 USB von Focusrite.

In der Praxis finde ich zwei Dinge besonders praktisch:
- jeder der Eingangskanäle kann einzeln Phantomspeisung zugewiesen bekommen
- mit dem Monitor Balance Regler lässt sich das Input Signal im Verhältnis zum Ausgangssignals des Computers ganz leicht regeln.

So kann ich das Interface auch mal ganz ohne Computer (Mac) benutzen und einfach mit der Gitarre reinspielen und über die Monitore hören.

Verwende es an einem MacBook Pro. Wird tadellos erkannt und auch die USB 2 Verbindung scheint absolut ausreichend für meine Anwenungen.

Ich kann es absolut weiterempfehlen!
