Incorrect product information, the part of the skin that is free to vibrate has 25cm in diameter, so this is a 10" drum with 24" height, it's not an 11" intermediate-size drum like they make it seem in the description.
Manufacturing quality is mediocre, the wood surface is way too smooth to be "hand carved", this is definitely made with machinery, and most important of all, they didn't carve the traditional spiral grooves on the inside of the wood, so the sound is not as dry as it should be => the drum does not sound like a djembe, it sounds more like a darbouka, very ringy/twangy, you can't get much difference between a tone and a slap. Other companies include some stickers you can put under the skin to reduce the ringing but there was no such accessory in this package.
The carving is left unfinished on the inside of the drum, if you lightly rub the surface with your hand there will be wood crumbs falling out from all over the place. I suspect the loose wood crumbs are also why the drum makes a dissonant buzzing sound on every loud bass note. Also the animal skin is left unfinished, with stubble on it like I get if I don't shave for 3-7 days - you can even see this in the presentation pictures, so they're not hiding it, they think this is normal apparently.
