Amazing Amp
MetalGOD1984 29.06.2024
After a long time of enamoring this amp I decided finally to buy it. After playing a couple of hours it became my all time dream amp. I will try describe the amp the best I can.

*Features:* Everything described in the page is correct and its a full featured amp that for the price not many amps have. However I have given 4 stars, because it does not bring a Footswitch nor a MIDI Foot Controller.

*Preparation and Build Quality*: Every you expect from Thomann, the package arrived after a couple of days everything very well conditioned. The Build Quality of the amp is great, so far i haven't anything negative to mention which is to expect from a Boutique type of amp.

*Sound:*
Channel 1: The best way to describe this Channel is a pure clean sound with a huge headroom, due to the 180Ws. There is no drive or gain which makes it a great pedal platform channel. Chorus, Delay and Overdrive Pedals sound amazing. It can play any style depending only on the pedals you put in front of it.

Channel 2(-): This is my least used Channel / Option. It is the Channel 2(+) but with less gain and imo lacks a bit of body as well. For Bluesy stuff I would rather use the Channel 1 with an Overdrive pedal.

Channel 2(+): The sound coming out of this channel it's the classic Diezel Distortion but tighter and with a huge sound headroom. Playing in lower tunings C, B and A is where this amp shines imo. The chords and single notes sound so defined thanks to its 180Ws and has that huge Low-End well known from Diezel but at the same time it has very well fined tuned mids. This is the Channel for Rhythm and Heavy Riffs. Also takes boosts well although i don't think this amp needs any boost.

Channel 3: Starts where Channel 2(+) left of but with more body, slightly more compressed and gainier. This is a great Channel for Leads or Single Note riffs on lower tunings.

Mid Cut: This is switch is imo what differentiates from the Diezel VH4 type of sound with a full mid frequency and the Herbert that cuts some frequencies to make it sound more modern. This switches makes a classic or a more modern sound.

Overall sound: The best way to describe the overall sound is the Diezel characteristic sound, tight and with a huge headroom sound. The notes and riffs sound so defined, independent of the tuning or music type played. This is valid for all 3.5 Channels.

I believe this amp shines for all types of Metal but It can also be used for Rock, Blues or even Country if you want a tighter and huge headroom sound. See Richie Sambora or Matthew Bellamy as well known Rock players. Also see Diezel Demos on Youtube so that you can have an idea what this baby can do besides Metal.

Totally recommend this channel for anyone looking for a Boutique and flexible type of amp that competes with Bogner, Mesa, EVH, Marshall and other German brands.
