This is great neck. It is flat and well made. Truss rod works perfectly. The board is very comfortable under the fingers. Pau ferro board is very dry and should be treated with lemon oil. The back of neck is finished in satin and that is great for playing. The nut is not cut, only the string slots are marked. In order for the neck to be functional, it is necessary to cut the nut with nut files. It's a tool you should have at home or the neck should be taken to a professional luthier for setup. I bought Fender Standard-Highway One B. Tuners for this neck and they are perfect match. You will also need Fender Original Bass String Guide or some other string guide. This neck is perfect fit for Squier Jazz Bass body, I guess for the Fender bass as well.
The only downside is Pau Ferro wood as material for board. It's very nice and visualy pleasent wood, but it isn't hard enough. Ebony would be better for "mwah" sound. Maybe I will finish board in epoxy one day to get that sound and to protect surface against string wearing. This is the only reason for four stars in my rating.
