Finding gigbags for uncommon sized guitars can be a bit of a long journey, but luckily Gretsch provides fitting gigbags for their resonators, in which they fit perfectly. Upon arrival, I noticed no apparent flaws in the gigbag, and the instrument slid in nicely, and did not slip around in it in either direction, so that's a huge plus: it makes for a snug & safe fit.
I'm not a touring musician, but I take my stuff on the road every once in a while by foot, bike, car and train. A lightweight gigbag that is comfortable to carry is a necessity then. The shoulder straps are padded and contoured, which did fit me perfectly, up to the point that at one instance, I forgot I had a gigbag on by back until I hit a door. But no harm was done, the bag absorbed the mild impact perfectly. It's closely woven canvas is semi-weatherproof, which means it can withstand some rain, but not a torrential downfall, but then again, what gigbag does?
The zipper was a bit coarse in the beginning, but after opening & closing it a few times it became easier to manipulate.
One "downside" is that the accessory compartment is on the small side, too small for the items I needed to carry with me, so I had to bring a separate bag with me for that purpose.
All in all: recommended piece of kit if you've got a guitar which is sized like the Gretsch.
