I've been looking after a tube amp, not too heavy, not too loud, from clean to aggressive with a tone control that deserves its name. Playing in a country cover band, I need sounds from Marty Stuart to Brad Paisley. Marty plays Fender, Brad plays Dr. Z. From my perception, the Mini Silver Jubilee can handle these expectations very well. I was surprised how clean a Marshall could sound. The lead channel is pure Marshall and the rhythm sound is a very useful add-on. So you have three excellent sounds in one amp. Tone control is good. However, the footswitch can only chose between lead and non-lead (clean or rhythm), so you cannot avoid from going to the amp when you want to switch between clean and rhythm. And when you switch from clean to rhythm or vice versa, you will need to adjust the volume. Another annoyance is that there was no amp cover, you need to order it separately. But if you're accustomed that there is always something not so ideal, even with considerably more expensive amps from all kinds of brands, this is a wonderful amp, a keeper.
