With a gig approaching I found myself without a working guitar, so decided to invest in all new electronics for my Les Paul. Everything arrived Wednesday and the gig was on Friday. In the end, this was not a problem. 2 hours (including breaks!), from start to finish I had replaced every singe electronic component in the guitar, largely thanks to the inclusion of the Mojotone SC Sht. Shaft Solderl. Harness.
Thanks as well to both this and the Seymour Duncan SH-JB set, I have acheived perfect silence - no static, no switch noise. It's a beautiful thing.
In my research it was suggested that I may need to enlarge the pot holes. In fact this was not the case, all the components fit perfectly in my variety of guitar without modification.
If I absolutely had to come up with a criticism, it would be that I would like to have more feel to the resistance of the pots - currently their action is very light, I'd prefer something more sturdy feeling, but it's not a dealbreaker.
