Roland Tone Capsule UB

I have to admit that after reading all the reviews both here and from other internet sources, I was expecting this Tone Capsule to sound pretty amazing. I was sorely disappointed. Neither my Gretsch Electromatic nor my Fender Stratocaster sounded better with the Tone Module installed. At first I thought that I had dialed in the knobs on my Blues Cube Stage incorrectly, but I had these set to how the manual demonstrated in the handy diagrams. I then tried all sorts of different dialed in levels, but just couldn’t find any setting that made my guitars sound better than the Standard Blue Cube without tone module. I really wanted the Tone Capsule to work, to give me a reason why I had spent over 200 euros for this thing, alas I was left disappointed.
My conclusion after trying this Tone Capsule is that I far prefer the tone from my Cube stage without this Tone Capsule. The UB Tone for me makes my guitars sound less bluesy. My opinion of course. The Tone Capsule has been returned and the 200+ euros will be better spent on something else.
