I'm a full time professional musician (keyboard) but, as yet, an extremely amateur accordion player. I bought my instrument from a friend. It was owned by his mother who played it professionally during the 1950s and '60s. The instrument itself was in fairly good condition, but the straps had seen better days. The bass strap particularly had already been repaired and was beginning to disintegrate, as well as being a bit dirty and unattractive. My instrument is a 120 bass, but it's compact, so the case is the same size as a 72 bass. I ordered this replacement strap, which is the perfect size. It comes with no fittings on the ends, so I also ordered Thomann's fittings kit to go with it. It was easier to install than I feared. The strap is in strong brown/black leather with red stitching and a burgundy/red fabric padding on the inside. It improves the comfort, playability and appearance of the instrument enormously and matches the other straps I bought really well too. My instrument now has a new lease of life and I can enjoy playing it both for fun and to add to my professional skills.
