This is the main mouthpiece I use in brass band. Used with my Adams F3, the deep cup of this mouthpiece helps produce a nice rich dark sound suitable for brass band. I find that the FLX Warburton mouthpieces also feel more secure in the upper register than the equivalent Denis Wick pieces without losing much, if anything, in terms of sound quality. If I'm playing a solo or test piece I switch to a Warburton 2FLX which requires more work in the upper register but helps produce an even richer sound.
