Epiphone DC Pro Case

Wenn man den Koffer das erste mal öffnet, versprüht er den Duft fernöstlicher Produktion... mal diplomatisch ausgedrückt. Aber der verflog schnell und das war auch das einzige, das anfangs negativ auffiel.
Ansonsten ist der Koffer einwandfrei verarbeitet und steht in dieser Hinsicht bspw. einem Gibson-Case in nichts nach. Die Beschläge machen einen soliden Eindruck und auch der Griff ist anders als bei manch günstigem Koffer mit (Kunst-)Leder bezogen.
Die Passform schien anfangs nicht optimal. Dies ist aber dem Umstand geschuldet, dass die DC Pro ein kurzes und ein deutlich längeres Horn hat und daher zunächst etwas unsymmetrisch im Case liegt. Dies ist aber nur ein optischer Eindruck, der verschwindet, wenn die Gitarre nach einiger Zeit den Plüsch zurecht gedrückt hat... die Gitarre liegt also sicher und passgenau - auch was die Lagerung des Halses betrifft.
Ein Hinweis noch für alle, die sich vom DC im Namen verleiten lassen: gemeint ist definitiv die DC Pro. Eine DC im Sinne einer SG passt hier nicht rein.

I always buy a hard case for my guitars. Especially the really good ones. This is for the new Epiphone DC Pro. They are extremely beautiful guitars, worthy of being taken care of. Epiphone has always been quite good and making a quality hard case for their guitars. This is no exception. When the guitar I wanted, became available, the cases weren't yet in Germany. Lots of folks on the forums, were trying all kinds of options from SG cases, to LP cases. Since this is technically a LP Double Cut, you would think that one of these would fit, right? Well no actually. None of those cases fit correctly. Only this one does. And something also bizarre, nothing else fits in this case either. Not even my SG. Which will fit in just about anything since they are so thin. But like usual, Epiphone has hit a homerun with both the guitar and the perfect fitting case.
Pro: very high quality latches and hinges. The handle is very comfortable form fitting to the hand. and attached very well. The padding inside is quite thick, and the furry stuff, is soft and luxurious. If you have the DC Pro, I highly recommend getting the case to protect your investment.
Cons: If you have ever purchased a matching Epiphone case before, you will know that there really aren't any cons. They are affordable and extremely high quality made products. The guitar comes with a Schaller style strap locks. They even made room in the foam for that extended pin sticking out the bottom. So again, no cons here for me. Great case, that perfectly fits the DC Pro, and at a great price!

Bought this case to keep my guitar looking as new as possible for as long as possible. Super tight fitting with a really soft lining. Great quality product as you would expect being the official Epiphone product.

Only thing to be aware of is that it also has one catch on the back in addition to the usual ones on the front. I wasn't aware of this and almost broke it the first time I opened it. OK once I knew about it.
