First of all, I only use the bridge pickup and only the main voice. The main voice is different from the previous Mick Thomson's voice of Seymour Duncan Blackouts. To me personally, in both a good and a bad way, the lows are reduced to a degree that probably sounds good for miking and mixing but isn't as pleasant as the blackouts to my ear. At the same time, the highs are more pronounced here compared to the blackouts, which gives them a little more bite, but I'd argue that the blackouts already had enough bite and didn't need it further. For some reason, the pinch harmonics do not sound here as nice and rich as on the blackouts EMTY. I cannot say how the other voices are done since I simply replaced my EMG-81 pickup with the one from this set using the pre-wired "Quick Connect" system. In the end, I find it complements the EMG-81 sound or the Blackouts sound but does not replace them. I'll revert back to using the Blackouts instead of using this set, but this is just my experience.
The quality of the pickup itself is astonishing. From the packaging to the pickup enclosure, you just see it with your own eyes and feel it, 10/10.
Another thing that makes it great is the compatibility with the aforementioned "Quick Connect" system, where you do not need to rewire anything in your guitar; you just remove the old pickup and install this one.
