There's a lot to say about this guitar, so for those who get bored easily:
It's plays great! It sounds great! It's white! Go buy it!
----
I've been umming and ahing over which Ibanez to buy for weeks (too much choice Ibanez!) but luckily I had a very specific thing I wanted.
Recently I've been getting back to my shredding roots, but as someone with big clumsy hands I needed one of those big flat-n-wide Ibanez necks. This one has a 430mm radius (yup, think Steve Vai and Paul Gilbert from the old days) and a width of 58mm at the 24th fret...you can't get much flatter 'n wider than that!
My fingers are flying when I play this guitar, so yeah, it plays great!
The pickups sound good: the bridge is nice and tight, the neck is full sounding, though with a little less bite than the bridge. You can also coil tap the pickups, but I'm not really keen on the sound. Maybe that's because my other guitar is a Strat with custom pickups. Still, I didn't buy this guitar for it's single coil sound, so that's no big deal for me.
Built quality is, well, everything you expect from a Made in Japan Ibanez. No complaints here.
I really liked the look of the white on the website, and since it arrived I've really fallen for it. There are other colours available, but they're not white!
Oh yeah, it also comes with a very nice hard case.
