Thomann TR-4000S Bb- Trumpet

Eigentlich habe ich mir die Trompete nur als "Notfallinstrument" oder Zweitinstrument für "gefährlichere" Aufgtritte wie Umzüge und Bierzeltmusik besorgt, die ich nicht mit meinem Hauptinstrument (Yamahe YTR8335RGS) spielen möchte. Umso überraschter war ich, dass die 4000S der weitaus teureren Yamaha gar nicht in so viel nachsteht. Natürlich wird nicht die Leichtigkeit in Spiel und Handlich erreicht - was aber bei 400 statt 3000€ auch nie der Anspruch sein kann.

Die TR4000S spricht leicht an, bietet eine gute Tonkontrolle und alle Töne sind da, wo sie hingehören so lange man in der "normalen" Range unterwegs ist (c1-c3). Im high register bzw. der 3. Oktave tue ich mich schwer mit dem Instrument, was aber wahrscheinlich eine Kombionation aus der Instrumentqualität und meiner Gewohnheit, ein anders Instrument zu spielen, ist.
Die Maschine ist recht leichtgängig und komfortabel, ich hatte bisher keinerlei Probleme mit hängenden Ventilen und dergleichen (dafür habe ich das Yamaha Standardöl eingefüllt). Die gesamte verarbeitung ist vorbildlich, weder an Material noch an Lackierung usw. konnte ich den kleinsten Makel erkennen.

Insgesamt ein sehr ordentliches Allround-Instrument für Schüler oder Vereinsspieler.

Die Trompete ist kein Leichtgewicht dadurch wirkt sie etwas klobig
Ansprache ist sehr gut, Oberton reihe spricht gut an, in der tiefe kräftig.
Die Trompete ist für Anfänger nicht geeignet man braucht viel Luft.
Der Preis ist Sensationell günstig.
Bisher bin ich mit allen Thomann Trompeten sehr zufrieden. Pikkolo, Es/D- Trompete und TR 500 S.

Just received this trumpet which seems to be extremely well built, with a very full and big sound, but this is only for those who want this kind of tone !
I don't know why, but I couldn't get all the info I've requested from Thomann prior ordering this trumpet, then I could have avoided to buy it and send it back, just because it's not the sound that I was looking for.
I need to say that these trumpets are excellent for those looking for a big tone, with enough core, very free blowing and responsive, with an easy upper register.
Thomann does not share all technical details of their trumpets ( bell taper, bell thickness, overall weight etc - this should be an improvement action for Thomann in the future, as their trumpets/instruments are NOT that popular as many other well known brands/models ), so I had to find out by myself.
TR-4000S has a heavyweight and a large bell ( similar to Bach 72 taper), producing a very full and big sound, very resonant, that it doesn't break if it's pushed. Upper register is easy enough, probably due to it's reversed lead pipe, but it needs more air to get the best of it :) Overall, the trumpet is very well built, with a very nice finish, very good valves from the first touch (no sticky valves, very smooth action). It feels solid in your hands, well balanced...just as any other professional trumpet on the market.
If I would have known these aspects before, I wouldn't have ordered it, and not because it is not a very good trumpet, because it really is, but not for me !
Later edit : I've decided to keep it and give it a chance - if you can get used with it, learn how to play and control it, it might be one of the best trumpets in the world for the money.
