je ne suis pas luthier mais je ne suis pas très satisfait de ce produit qui ne m'a guère apporté de confort en comparaison à ma lime dont j'avais recourbé la pointe pour tenir lieu de pointe à âmes.
En effet le corps de l'outil est beaucoup trop large et ne permet la souplesse nécessaire pour positionner l'âme correctement sans risquer de la faire tomber dans le violoncelle et perdre du temps pour le ressortir et la repositionner correctement.
le seul point positil c'est une pointe bien affutée pour piquer l'âme mais est-ce bien suffisant en regard du prix élevé ??

I purchased the Gewa Soundpost Setter for Cello, to set the soundpost on a newly purchased cello for my girlfriend.
The local store took twice the price for the setter, just to give it a try - I figured; the soundpost needs setting after every stringchange so I decided that I'd do it myself.
It's well built, sharp, sturdy and does just what it's surposed to do; setting the soundpost.
I gave it a few tries, but gave up after that.
Then my girlfriend gave it a try and after af few failures, the soundpost now have a fully functioning cello.
It's kind of hard to manoeuvre inside a cello through the f-hole and only should be careful not to damage the instrument.
