It took a while for this bass to arrive, thank you Thomann for always keeping me updated about the shipping time. I have to say, it's well worth the wait!
However the description on Thomann, is not all correct. This bass does not come with bartolini pickups but with standard Spector designed PJ pickups. Which does not bother me but it would be nice if Thomann updated this information, to make sure people do not get confused.
Right out of the box, the bass is almost perfectly set-up, some minor buzzing on the lower frets, easy fix. The fretwork is amazing, no sharp edges, nothing. The neck feels super comfortable and is very easy to play. The weight of the bass is also very light, again super comfortable.
The only I could wish for, feature wise is a seperate cavity for the battery. However I do realise this is an entry level Spector so it's fine.
The sounds you get from this bass are amazing. It handles effects well, no loss of clarity when playing through an overdriven signal. The cleans are amazing, good brightness with a tight low end.
Playing with either a pick or with fingers, it all sounds good and way more expensive than what this bass costs.
My bass came with a minor blemish on the side of the fretboard, nothing extreme and nothing that would get in the way while playing.
All in all very happy with this bass and I know I'll have fun playing it in the years to come.
