This is an absorber that's of high quality and relatively small size. So if you want to affect the overall sound of an entire room I recommend you get cheaper absorbers, such as Thomann's t.akustik. But if you have a particular spot whose acoustics you want to enhance, especially near where you actually listen to music, this is an excellent choice.
I placed this right behind my work desk (where I needed a particular acoustic solution) so I'm basically facing it. I was surprised how much this actually affected my sound situation positively.
An added bonus with this is that when compared to cheaper solutions this looks much more pleasant. (Although note that the frame isn't made of luxury wood either. Mine has a few 1 cm long blemishes, that look a bit as if someone had drawn on it with a pencil. But they're really not very noticeable. In the product pic you can see similar signs of the "living wood", so remnants of branches etc.)
