Budget Warwick, but perfectly playable

I compared this with a twenty year old fretless thumb NT that I had also bought.
Yes, the thumb is better, but I was nevertheless surprised that the fretless rockbass's quality was respectful for the price. The maple neck reminded me a bit of a better version of budget Cort/Yamaha necks I have tried in the past, but at this price, I imagine it would not be cost effective for Warwick to use more exotic woods.
One thing I did not appreciate was the choice of strings, a poor choice for a fretless bass.
In conclusion, I would recommend this bass if on a budget for a fretless, but also budget in a string change at the start.

E' uno strumento di ottima fattura, leggero e con suono caldo ma deciso. Il suo punto forte è la tastiera di ebano tigerstripe che fa decisamente la differenza. Difficile mettere le mani su altri materiali dopo aver suonato questo basso. Purtroppo mi è arrivato con un difetto grave, i pickup con fasi invertite. Essendo l'unico esemplare nel negozio di Thomann ho preferito aggiustarlo io con l'aiuto del team di Warwick che è stato disponibilissimo e mi ha inviato una nuova coppia di pickup. Risultato finale eccellente. Bello ed economico. Consigliato

Gitara bardzo dobrze zrobiona. Ładnie brzmi, świetnie dobrane drzewo. Kilka uwag: wymagała ustawienie - to normalne drzewo pracuje (dla mnie drobiazg), dwa aktywny układ i pickup J J brzmi gorzej niź dwa JJ z HB zwykłego basu, dzwiek na pasywie bardziej dynamiczny wiecej góry i lepiej słychac składowe harmoniczne. Decha na sucho 5, Fabryczne struny wymieniłem po wyjeciu z pudełka na la nella black nylon. Nie każdemu bedzie ten dzwiek sie podobał, kontrabasowo ale warto, polecam. Dzieki równiez dla Thomanna, mam drugiego fretles Warwick 5 B stock - strxał w 19/ Brawo W su mie mankamenty raczej dla konesera kawał dobrej ładnie brzmiacej dechy za niewielkie pieniadze, pasyw mozna samemu założyc na upartego ...
