Yes, I bought this Eq because I wanted Neve 1073 style without spending a lot. This Eq is well thought because you have more options to sculpt your sound than the original Neve 1073, which is a good thing. Depending on the signal some extreme settings will sound harsh. I didn't find the mid frequency transformer to sound so exceptional but it helps. My overall impression is that you just need to turn cut or boost levels not too much otherwise it would spoil the signal. On the other hand if you want to cut low end like a high pass filter would do, it works very well. I could cut vocals at 33, 55 or 100 and I wouldn't need a high pass filter thereafter. So this can really be useful if you don't have other options and you don't want to use plugins. I use it for tracking and mixing. I also own COMP-3A from the same manufacturer and use them with a neve 1073 preamp and Rupert neve designs tape emulator. I would definitely recommend this Eq and this brand.
